Dr. Darding is a family chiropractor. She treats people of all ages, whether they are in severe pain or simply seeking preventive care. By taking careful consideration of each patient’s needs, her goal is to help them live the most comfortable, longest life possible.
Pain
Most new patients who seek family chiropractic care are already in pain resulting from a subluxation. A subluxation is a distortion in the body’s structure that can affect nerves, muscles, energy, brain function, organs, discs, bones, tendons, ligaments and posture. This distortion may be from a fall or an injury, from sleeping a certain way, or sometimes it’s been there since birth and is just now rearing its ugly head. Chiropractic care aims to detect the problem area that is causing pain, and to not only relieve the pain but also prevent it from happening again.
Headaches
When spinal bones are out of alignment, sensitive nerves and blood vessels to the head are affected. Spinal manipulation can move bones and joints back into place, relieving pressure and often decreasing the need for medications in patients with tension and migraine headaches. As a family chiropractor, Dr. Darding can relieve headaches in kids and adults.
My headaches were affecting my life. I was calling into work, yelling at my kids, and taking large doses of painkillers. Dr. Darding relieved my pain after seven adjustments, and I feel like a different person.

Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
We use our lower backs to sit, to stand, to lift, to bend – even to jump and run. The discs between the vertebrae in our lower backs often get broken down or bulge, the vertebrae get shifted, and before we know it, we’re in excruciating pain.
Sciatic pain starts in the low back or buttocks region and often travels down to the back of the knee and heel. This pain, also known as sciatica, results from the compression of nerves that exit the lower part of the spine, creating numbness, tingling, or a sharp shooting sensation.
People often turn to surgery for relief of such lower back problems, but Dr. Darding uses proven methods to relieve pain through spinal manipulation. When the components of the spine are back in line where they should be, pain disappears and patients enjoy life again.
Neck Pain
If you feel a pulling or throbbing pain in your neck when you turn your head, chances are it’s because something in your spine is out of line. Dr. Darding will find the cause of the pain by examining whether a proper spinal curve is present, the nerve openings are clear, the head is balanced, and the shoulders are level. When she determines the structural problem, she will develop an adjustment plan to relieve the pain and keep your spine in proper alignment so the pain stays away.
Fibromyalgia
Patients with fibromyalgia often come to Dr. Darding saying “it just hurts all over.” Characterized by widespread joint and muscle pain, fatigue, and pain in at least 11 trigger points including the neck, spine, shoulder, and hips, fibromyalgia affects many women in childbearing years. Using a comprehensive approach, Dr. D designs care plans including nutrition, exercise, and regular chiropractic adjustments, which have all been proven to reduce inflammation that causes pain in people suffering from the disease.
Stress
With looming deadlines at work, money problems, marriage issues, and busy schedules with kids, it’s a wonder we’re all still standing. The stress of our daily lives causes muscle tension, upset stomachs, headaches, back pain, and even allergic reactions. It’s not possible for family chiropractors to change our lifestyles, but it’s possible for them to help our bodies handle stress differently. Chiropractic adjustments can reduce tension in the nervous system by strengthening “weak links” in the spine. When we can physically endure stressful situations, it makes it easier to handle them emotionally.
