The musculoskeletal system connects your bones, nerves, muscles and connective tissues – all of which makes up about 60% of your body. When any component of this system gets out of whack, you will experience discomfort or even worse – pain. Dr. Darding has more than ten years of expertise in chiropractic techniques that keep the musculoskeletal system in line. Her care plans include:
- Advanced spinal correction using modern chiropractic technology
- Physical therapy modalities that improve or increase range of motion
- Exercise recommendations to keep muscles and tissue working during recovery
Dr. Darding uses chiropractic treatment methods that are safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. She treats children and adults and develops a care plan based on age, body type, and individual goals.
The Three Levels of Chiropractic Care
Acute/Pain Management Care
The first thing new patients want is to feel better. After Dr. Darding consults with you about your medical history, pain level and location, she may begin a plan to get you feeling better. In the beginning, chiropractic adjustments will aim to stabilize joints, reduce inflammation and increase your range of motion. Visits are usually frequent during this stage of care, with the goal to get through your day with less pain.
Rehabilitative or Corrective Care
When your pain is reduced, Rehabilitative Care allows for more complete healing. Even though you feel better and can function, muscle and soft tissue damage can still exist. Dr. Darding will encourage you to keep coming in for less frequent visits, and will make recommendations for exercises that will help you gain strength and flexibility, as well as dietary changes that will contribute to your rehabilitation.
Preventative or Wellness Care
After you recover, regular periodic visits can help catch problems before they become major concerns. Dr. Darding will focus on keeping your spine stabilized so that your body can move as well as possible. Maintaining a chiropractic lifestyle can help you feel your best.
